Transport in Silicon-Germanium Heterostructures

PhD. Thesis - Daniel Chrastina

Gzipped postscript and pdf versions in 2-column journal format: 69 pages. You would probably be best off saving the files rather than opening them from here. If you use Windows you can view the postscript version using Ghostscript and GSView without unzipping it. (As of the end of September 2004 these are of higher quality, because I've learnt about "\usepackage{pslatex}" and how to mess about with style files and custom-bib and that).

Here are the original files, identical to the submitted version, as created with StarOffice:

Contents
Title page, contents, list of figures.
Chapter 1
Acknowledgements, declaration and abstract
Chapter 2
Introduction to transport in silicon-germanium
Chapter 3
General theory of transport in silicon-germanium alloys
Chapter 4
Experimental details
Chapter 5
p-channel devices
Chapter 6
Transport in an n-channel strained silicon device
Chapter 7
Coupled channel devices
Chapter 8
Conclusions

Some figures could not be included in the original pdf and are given separately. The two page numbers are within the chapter, and within the whole thesis, respectively.

Chapter (Page) Page Figure Filename
5 12 53 5.7 5553rt2_bbp.eps
5 21 62 5.12 weakloc_tau_phi_bbp.eps
5 22 63 5.13 weakloc_tau_bbp.eps
5 23 64 5.14 weakloc_tau_tr_bbp.eps
5 24 65 5.15 weakloc_Fstar_bbp.eps
5 30 71 5.16 weakloc_tau_phi_dfits_bbp.eps
5 35 76 5.19 AHall_vs_SdH_ps_bbp.eps

6 31 142 6.12 Ryan_sdh1_bbp.eps

Also, some figures are in colour:

Chapter (Page) Page Figure
5 21 62 5.12
5 22 63 5.13
5 23 64 5.14
5 24 65 5.15
5 49 90 5.29

6 17 128 6.8
6 18 129 6.9
6 29 140 6.11
6 31 142 6.12
6 32 143 6.13

7 10 175 7.5 (should be, but isn't.)
7 27 192 7.16

In this directory are pdf files of only the text.

This stuff has nothing much to do with my current research with LEPECVD apart from that it's still silicon germanium.
